I hope by now you’ve had the chance to visit our newly redesigned website. If you haven’t, please click here to do so!
Revamping our website has been a labor of love. Many hours have been dedicated to the seemingly simple task of customizing a pre-designed template from GoLive HQ. After the content was initially added, it was the tweaking of every little thing that really added up. But now that it’s done? SO worth it. Ready for the tour?
When I first laid eyes on the Belmont template over at GoLive HQ, I was smitten. Other templates I’d considered in the past were either too much or too minimal – in all cases the designs were beautiful, but not quite what I was looking for. This template was the perfect blend of professional, elegant, and whimsical. The watercolor elements in the template were made by Lauren Ledbetter, who you may recall is the very designer who crafted our logo and branding last summer! Needless to say, the overall look of the site blends perfectly with our existing branding. Lauren also made some hand-lettered header titles for us which tie the pages in so well with the rest of the design.
The splash page opens to the home page, featuring a bunch of on-brand colored dots and photo dots that rotate through several images. Should you be interested in LKP or the two of us, the about page fills you in. We’ve even added fun pages with some of our favorites.
And finally, one of my favorite parts about the new site through ShowIt, is the ability to add additional sites, what they refer to as +sites (which use our domain, but can have different menus, or an entirely different look). So we now have a separate page just for client inquiries! After receiving an inquiry email, we’ll send this link to the couple where they can read a bit more detail about the experience, view our collections and pricing, or learn more about our albums.
What do you think?! We’d love to hear your feedback on the new site. Personally, I’m wild about it and could not WAIT to launch it. Hopefully y’all do as well!
I've pulled together my favorite and most-used art supplies + tools to make the process easy for you!
I make whimsical art for color-lovers and California dreamers. I'm based in Virginia, outside of Washington, D.C. where there are most decidedly no palm trees in sight.
