You can make art, and I'll show you how to get your practice started.

A few weeks ago, my friend Rebecca (A Daily Something) asked me if I’d be interested in photographing a tablescape and DIY for an article she was writing for The Nest. Last week, I spent an evening with her on the perfect front porch of her century-old house photographing as she did her stylist work. The simple tablescape featured blues and vintage pieces to bring an Americana vibe; the canned pepper jelly favors could have come from one’s own Victory Garden. The porch was backed by a perfectly old and faded American flag, and the string of lights gave the scene a lovely glow after the sun set. It was the quintessential late spring/early summer evening, leaving the two of us freaking out as dusk set in and the light became even more magical by the minute.
Her post is currently up on The Nest‘s blog, so if you are interested in learning how to put together a DIY floral centerpiece (I was!), go check it out! Thanks again for asking me to work with you on this project, Rebecca!
