This semi-styled (aka: DIYed by me) engagement session for Elise and Hunter is so romantic and dreamy. Morgan of Petals and Hedges graciously provided us with the lovely floral crown, and the other flowers were picked from my backyard. My husband cut up some fallen branches for me to craft together the teepee, giving me an opportunity to finally put those sheers to use. 48 Fields was the perfect location, being private and natural.
Elise and Hunter are a cute couple living in DC and I am so grateful that they braved the weekday rush hour traffic to come out to Loudoun County for their shoot. Though we got off to a late start, the evening was beautiful (albeit humid and buggy), and we were rewarded with a magnificent sunset. Red sky at night…
Elise comes from a family of photographers. My enthusiasm soared as she seemed to get exactly what I wanted her to do and just nailed the look. Hunter (or “H” as Elise calls him) did great in his own right. And bonus points to them for not judging me as I inhaled a bug in the middle of the shoot. Oh, summer.
