The following session has all the ingredients that make for a gorgeous photo shoot. Cute couple? Check. Golden sunset? Check. Flower crown? Check. Absolutely gorgeous natural landscape? Checkity check check.

La Jolla Cove lies just north of the village of La Jolla, California facing La Jolla Bay. It’s home to a literal shit-ton of seals and sea lions which are adorably stinky creatures who distracted us over and over because of their posing prowess. I came from the east coast, so it was hard not to gape at the magnificent rocky caves that surrounded the beach on the cove.

Susanna, a gorgeous blonde Swede, and her husband David, a strapping young Navy submariner, were recently reunited in San Diego after David’s deployment. They’d spent the last two weeks together hiking, exploring, and enjoying the company of each other before ending their California adventure with a photo shoot. My good friend and fellow photographer Victoria Heer and I tag-teamed this shoot on the most perfect of November evenings in southern California. She and I shoot similarly, yet different enough that Susanna and David are going to have a nice variety of images from this shoot.
